Sail Away

Sail Away is a wedding gift for my sister. It is based on the same concept as Naamio, but I modified it a bit to fit the setting. Since they were celebrating on a barge in the harbour of Hamburg, placing them on a boat seemed quite fitting.

I came up with a paper cut out art style similar to the one used in Naamio to give it a more tactile feeling. It’s meant to be played on a touch device, ideally a tablet, but for now you will have to play it with the Webplayer (don’t use Chrome).

For the first time in a very long time I dared laying hands on Unity and am very happy with the result. The majority was programmed by Linda Randazzo, and I added some camera animations, refined the snap sensitivity, and played a new win song and reset the game after completion. This wouldn’t have been possible without the help of my amazing flat mate Julian.
